Taylor Small (Chittenden 6-7), Tanya Vyhovsky (Chittenden 8-1), Heather Surprenant (Windsor-1), and Emma Mulvaney-Stanak (Chittenden 6-2) decided to form a Vermont Squad when they learned of each other's races for Vermont state representative earlier this summer. In the spirit of the famous national Squad of progressive change makers, Congresswomen Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, and Rep. Rashida Tlaib, these Vermont candidates are hoping to make similar progressive waves in the Vermont House on issues related to economic, racial and social justice. We recognize that as white women we need to do more and push for true equity statewide. Plus, if elected, Taylor would be the first out trans-identified Vermonter to hold elected state office.

Each of these women face a contested Democratic primary on August 11th and need your help.
